Utah State at Oklahoma College Football Lines

The Oklahoma Sooners host the Utah State Aggies Saturday, September 4th at 7:00 EST. The Sooners are certainly looking to avoid a repeat of last year’s opener, where they lost their Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback in Sam Bradford and fell to unranked BYU 13-14. That loss virtually ended all national title hopes for Oklahoma, and they were never fully able to recover. Certainly, their chances of losing to the Aggies are much slimmer considering college football odds makers have listed Oklahoma -33.5 over Utah State with a total set of 58 points. If you want interested in betting on this game or any other contests this weekend, then be sure...

The Texas Tech Red Raiders will open the 2010 season at home agianst the SMU Mustangs on Sunday, as college football continues through Labor Day Weekend with the NFL not starting till next week. The last time these two teams met was in 2008, when the Red Raiders beat up on the Mustangs 43-7. Texas Tech finished the 2009 season 9-4, including a nice win over Michigan State in teh Alamo Bowl. The Red Raiders will have a much different look to them this season, as they bring in Tommy Tuberville to take over for Mike Leach, who was let go at the end of last season due to player misconduct. Texas Tech does have 14 starters back this season, but figure...

The No.21 ranked Georgia Bulldogs will kick off the 2010 season at home against the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns this Saturday. It will be the first ever meeting between the two schools. Georgia finished up the 2009 season on a strong note, as they beat up on Texas A&M in the Independence Bowl to push their overal record to 8-5. The Bulldogs went just 4-4 in conference play, and have not not been to the SEC title game since 2005. The Bulldogs must replace their starting quarterback again this season, but the other 10 starters all return, and the defense welcomes in new coordinator Todd Grantham, who will look to improve on a unit that gave...

Texas vs. Rice College Football Picks
Written by Steve JanusSeptember 2, 2010 | Leave a comment
The No.4 ranked Texas Longhorns will open the season against a familar oppoent, as they are set to take on the Rice Ows. Texas has absolutley dominated this series, winning 38 of the last 39. The game will be played Saturday at Reliant Stadium, the home of the Houston Texans. Texas finished the 2009 season 13-1, as their only loss came in the BCS Championship game against Alabama. The Longhorns have just 12 starters back from last year, and it just goes to show you what kind of recruits they are getting to be ranked as high as they are. While Texas nearly won another National Championship, the Rice Owls were fighting to just win games in 2009,...

College Football Picks: San Jose State at Alabama

The Alabama Crimson Tide will begin their defense of the 2009 BCS Championship this Saturday, as they kick off the 2010 season at home against the San Jose State Sparts. This will be the first meeting between the two schools, and there is no question that the Crimson Tide will cruise to a victory in this one. Alabama was a perfect 14-0 on their way to the title last year, but defending will not be easy, as they have just 10 starters back from their championship team, and only two starters from what many considered the best defense in the country. Even with hardly anyone back the Crimson Tide open the 2010 season ranked No.1 in a number of polls,...

Kentucky at Louisville College Football Picks

This Saturday the Kentucky Wildcats will square off against the Louisville Cardinals in a classic instate rivalry game. With a 34-27 win in 2009, Kentucky has now won three straight against Louisville, but must travel to the Cardinals home field this season. Kentucky finished the 2009 season at 7-6, but were just 3-5 in SEC play. This year the Wildcats welcome in new head coach Joker Phillips, as Rich Brooks decided to call it quits after the end of last season. Phillips doesn’t exactly step into the best situation, as the Wildcats have just 11 starters returning. The Cardinals went just 4-8 in 2009, and have completely fallen off the...
